And within that thread, there's a post from you linking to a still earlier thread on a like subject. Note to self: bring up this topic again in six months, so you can link to this thread. lol

Are you serious?!?

Lou & Ashes & CPW: hope you realized tongue was in cheek with this one...

IE, with the other thread about "why post when a search will give you the two instances in which the topic was covered in the prior year?" I just wanted to let this one play out since I think it shows, quite well, the utility of rehashing, over and over and over again, any given topic.

Again, I am on the fence and meant NO disrespect to Strat & Rob for their comments on this ("post again" vs "just search and shut up").

But of course, my story about being unable to search is coming into question if I did as you say, Lou...

LOL indeed!

Tell - you are a rapscallion and you love to play that confused old fart persona of yours to the hilt.

Emoticon this:

A year's worth of degradation is a bit more for me than you my young friend. I wish I was "palying" as well, but it usually turns out to be work.

I did in fact have to spend about ten minutes to find the original link to the most recent discussion on said topic...so I suppose I am better at it than I let on.

Trust me--I was lucky. I just don't have the knack for combining the right terms in these searches, so I spend a lot of time scanning for them in the threads that pop up.

On a serious note, though, vis a vis the question at hand (post again vs search and desist), if you and I agree that it is largely the people that bring us back, and not (primarily) the information at hand, then I suppose I lean more toward any post serving as a starting point and thus, even a rehash is okay by me since we usually hijack almost instantaneously (SDH is even faster than that at this manouver, er, manure...er shit).

Tell - I surely wish I was your 'young' friend - but I'll gladly settle for just friend. (If you have more than a couple of years on me I'll be surprised.) I hope that my use of 'rapscallion' signalled that I wished you to take no offence.

And yes, I agree entirely that it's the people who keep me coming back. Were you (and a handful of others) to retire from the fray my online experience would be greatly diminished.

(Of course, now I have this picture posting thing figured out I may find more ways of having fun...)

Right - back to the job application - which is aging me by the second...

Of course not--I was worried I was having the usual effect on you (aging, frustrating, irritating)...

As usual, I pick out the trivial to kick around perhaps because I have tired of all the rehashes as well (in spite of my freedom of rehash rhetoric), and always, ALWAYS end up saying more than is necessary...

Good luck on the application process! Hope whatever comes your way as a result it will not diminish your time with us.

And yes, I think I only have a few yrs on you, but it's just I have been a lot busier than you with insuring I get through every major medical condition prior to the usual age onset (perhaps that means I will have fewer when the "typcial time" comes...).
